Special Events

On February 12th, Equality California held their awards gala dinner at City Hall commemorating the anniversary of the first same-sex marriages in San Francisco. Mayor Gavin Newsom, Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, and Shannon Minter were the evening's honorees, and Hannah was asked to create a special centerpiece cake in honor of the event. The result was a spectacular six tier cake, hand-painted with exquisite detail, surrounded on two tiers with edible photos of many of the same-sex couples who had been the first to marry a year earlier.

In addition to this worthwhile event, Hannah's Edible Art has donated in kind to dozens of charitable events as part of her philosophy of giving back to the community. She has been invited to display her
cakes on numerous occasions for special events held at Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom's, and Sunrise Interiors among others.
